Ratings:
- Community: 3/10 - extremely unstable, you literally cannot trust anyone in an open world PvP environment, you have to fend for yourself or get aquainted with the biggest guild on there.
- Graphics: 5/10 - it scored low on this because there was a Nvidia bug with DX11 which prevented certain textures to load and not work correctly, many users with high-end graphics cards couldn't fully experience it.
- Market store (RL cash store) 1/10 - one of THE worst designed market places I have ever seen. Changing the looks of you character costs an arm and a leg, you have to PAY real life cash to have a house - which is your primary source of income.
- Gameplay: 8/10 - the gameplay is amazing, you have the freedom to do anything you so wish. The only issues were the HARSH limitations of free to play. One of the best features that I find thoroughly enjoyable throughout the game, was the ability to literally grow and build your own ship from your own materials; realistic.
Would I recommend it to people?
No. Unless you're willing to dish out $500-$1000 on the store just to be good in PvP and trade, I wouldn't recommend playing it. I fell into the trap of constantly spending money on this game, only for Trion Worlds, Inc to mess it up entirely. However, do not judge the company solely based on this game. Defiance is still amazing.
