Hello readers,
I have added quite a few new features with this new template. I will list the changes below and what they mean.
New template:
- Neater features, it looks much tidier than the old one and most Google+ features have been removed since they can cause a little bit of confusion.
- The template was edited by me and removed a lot of the features and changed it around to make it look smoother; the original template was absolutely hideous.
Search function
- You can type any head title in to the search bar or any word related to the topic and it will bring up every relevant and related post to that topic.
Example:
"Guild wars" will bring up all topics will "guild wars" either in the content of the post or in the title.
Article previews:
There will be 6 article previews per page and this will give you: the thumbnail (if any), heading of the post and a snippet sentence from the post. It will also detailed who the post was authored by and which date it was published.
Article slider:
I have added the article slider to the top of the home page - this will allow you to navigate through the newest article posts that Connor or myself have published; the colour scheme of the article slider has no importance or relevance to the topic subject; it's just something I feel looked nice.
White navigation bar:
This has a really cool feature which I like; if you're viewing the blog on a small monitor or you have the browser window capped at a certain size; the navibar will turn into a drop-down box, allowing you to have full access to the entire blog even on a small screen.
